The Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC), a statutory body established under the Zambia Law Development Commission Act, Chapter 32 of the Laws of Zambia, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambians to fill the following vacant positions arising from the approved revised organisational structure.

SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER – INFORMATION AND EDUCATION (ZLDC 3)

Reports to Manager, Research and Law Reform

Job Purpose

To support the Commission’s law reform mandate through information management, public legal education, and dissemination of law reform work, in order to promote public understanding and participation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Commission’s legal and research information resources, including the library function;
  • Disseminate information arising from law reform work, including reports, proposed Bills, and recommendations;
  • Facilitate public access to law reform information and promote public participation;
  • Maintain institutional records and track the status and uptake of recommendations for law reform made by the Commission;
  • Supervise Research Officers and the Library Officer and manage delivery of assigned outputs.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Information Studies, Library Science, Law, Public Policy, Education, or a related field;
  • At least five (5) years’ relevant experience in information management, research support, or public education;
  • Demonstrated ability in digital and visual communication is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a formal supervisory role, with demonstrated success in managing team performance, workflows, and operational delivery.
