About the role

Eastern Tropical Fruit Company Limited (ETF) is a subsidiary of Zambia Fruit Company, under the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). The Company operates a hybrid fruit and vegetable processing plant located in Katete District, Eastern Province of Zambia.

As part of its growth strategy, the Company is looking to fill the following position:

SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER

Role Overview:

The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting functions of Eastern Tropical Fruits Limited (ETF). The role ensures effective financial planning, accurate reporting, compliance with statutory and corporate requirements, and prudent management of financial resources. The Senior Finance Officer will work closely with operational teams to support informed decision-making and enhance financial performance.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Oversee financial reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.
  • Manage accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger functions.
  • Co-ordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Ensure timely tax compliance and statutory submissions.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial systems.
  • Provide financial analysis and advisory support to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members to enhance performance and accountability.
