Shift Fitter

National Milling Corporation Limited, a reputable multinational milling company specializing in the manufacturing of various flour, mealie meal, stockfeed products, and trading in rice and other products, is seeking to engage flexible and energetic persons to fill one (1) vacant position of Shift Fitter in Lusaka.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsible for performing various tasks to support the mechanical maintenance team in repairing, servicing, and maintaining mechanical equipment, machines, systems, installations, and components.
• Ensure to resolve operational or technical mechanical problems to minimize interruptions resulting from breakdown failure during production at the assigned location.
• Ensure to undertake preventive maintenance of the plant, mechanical equipment, machines, and systems in accordance with the manufacturer's manuals recommendations, focusing on high levels to maximize production.
• Plan, schedule, and organize own work within the requirement of the work, and further coordinate with others to complete tasks assigned based on priority.
• Ensure to provide daily feedback and reports to the assigned supervisor on progress and work completed against schedule.
• Ensure reasons for variances are recorded and recommend actions to be taken for the elimination of future delays.

Requirements

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Three (3) years' previous working experience in a similar role.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
