The Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC), a statutory body established under the Zambia Law Development Commission Act, Chapter 32 of the Laws of Zambia, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambians to fill the following vacant positions arising from the approved revised organisational structure.

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT) OFFICER (ZLDC /4)

Report to Finance Manager

Job Purpose

To secure and optimize ICT infrastructure, deliver reliable technical support, and accelerate cloud-driven workflow automation to ensure business continuity and organizational innovation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor and secure network infrastructure, servers, firewalls, switches and wireless systems.
  • Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint management.
  • Provide timely technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, email, printers and connectivity issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, onboarding/offboarding and access control.
  • Implement and maintain cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS) and cloud-based applications.
  • Design, deploy and maintain backups, disaster recovery plans and business continuity measures.
  • Develop, deploy and support workflow automation and integration solutions to improve business processes.
  • Monitor system health, apply security patches, perform vulnerability management and enforce security policies.
  • Maintain ICT inventory, manage procurement, licensing and equipment lifecycle.
  • Produce and update ICT documentation, procedures, network diagrams and runbooks.
  • Conduct user training and promote security awareness and best practices.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers; manage support contracts and SLAs.
  • Support ICT-related projects, testing, rollouts and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Report on ICT performance, incidents and recommended improvements to management.
