About the role
This role undertakes full general ledger accounting work, including monthly financial reporting, tax data verification, VAT and withholding tax reconciliation, statutory tax and social security submission, bank reconciliation, expense & salary payment checking, daily accounting training, internal and external affairs coordination, and audit document preparation, to ensure standardized, accurate and timely financial and tax operations.
2. Job Responsibilities- Provide monthly financial reports of the company.
- Ensure accurate tax data in both tax return documents and financial system.
- Complete reconciliation of VAT and withholding tax.
- Submit VAT, withholding tax, NAPSA and NHIMA declarations on time and accurately.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
- Check daily expense payments and staff salary payments.
- Train and guide accountants in daily financial work.
- Assist managers in handling internal and external affairs.
- Coordinate with external audit firms and provide relevant financial documents.
- Complete other work tasks assigned by the management.
- Education: Bachelor degree or above, major in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Financial Management or related fields.
- Work Experience: At least 5 years of full-cycle finance and general ledger accounting experience in manufacturing industry; candidates with Zambian or African factory working experience are preferred.
- Language Skill: Proficient in written and spoken English, able to communicate with local tax, bank and audit institutions independently.
- Computer Skill: Skilled in Office, Excel functions and financial systems, capable of independently completing full-set accounting, financial statement preparation and basic tax declaration.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with ZICA, ACCA, intermediate accountant or above financial certificates are preferred; familiarity with Zambian local tax and social security processes is a strong advantage.
