About the role
The Retail Development Lead is responsible for driving consistent execution of Yalelo’s marketing campaigns, retail standards and customer growth initiatives across the assigned region. The role acts as the field link between Marketing, Retail Sales and Store Operations, ensuring that approved campaigns, activations, branding and promotional initiatives are effectively implemented at store level. The role will also lead Customer Insights & Growth Officer(s), monitor regional retail execution, identify local commercial opportunities and provide timely market intelligence to improve store traffic, customer acquisition and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities & Critical Success Measures
- Regional activations and growth: Lead the field execution of approved activations, community engagement and customer acquisition initiatives, measured through leads generated, customers acquired, sales uplift and activation performance.
- Market intelligence and reporting: Consolidate customer feedback & behaviour, product mix, competitor activity, store observations and regional opportunities into actionable reports for the Commercial team, measured through timely reporting and recommendations implemented.
- Retail campaign execution: Implement Marketing-approved campaigns, promotions and store initiatives across the assigned region, measured through timely execution and campaign compliance.
- Store standards and merchandising: Conduct regular store visits to monitor POS placement, branding, promotional displays and visual merchandising, measured through retail compliance scores and corrective action closure.
- Team coordination: Oversee and allocate field activities to Customer Insights & Growth Officer(s), measured through completion of field plans, reporting quality and achievement of regional objectives.
