Electrician

Job Overview

The Electrician will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and machinery to ensure optimal plant availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test electrical equipment and machinery.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, as well as repairs on electrical equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Fabricate and modify electrical components and equipment as required.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with quality control requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare relevant reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Trade Certification or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Strong electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
