Chilanga Cement, Ndola Plant, is looking to recruit dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individuals to take up the role of:

  1. MOBILE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (x8)

Overall Mission of the Role

To safely and efficiently operate mobile equipment in support of plant and quarry operations by ensuring timely movement, loading and transportation of materials, adherence to safety standards, proper equipment care, and continuous support to operational productivity.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Operating mobile equipment safely and efficiently in line with company procedures and safety standards.
  • Conducting pre-shift inspections on assigned equipment and report any defects promptly.
  • Loading, transporting and offloading materials within the plant and quarry operations.
  • Ensuring that equipment is maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition at all times.
  • Recording operational activities and submitting reports as required by supervisors.
  • Supporting housekeeping and safe working practices within the operational areas.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Education Background and Experience

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Valid Class TE Driver’s Licence.
  • Experience and certification in operating heavy/mobile equipment such as Front-End Loaders, Dump Trucks, Excavators or similar equipment.
  • Good understanding of equipment safety and operational procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.

  • Good judgement and attention to safety.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to housekeeping and operational discipline.
