Job description:

Purpose Of The Role
The Manager, Supply Chain will be responsible for planning, leading, and controlling the end-to-end supply chain function to ensure uninterrupted mining operations at optimal cost, quality, and service levels. The role provides strategic and operational leadership across procurement, logistics, inventory, supplier management, and contract administration, while ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental and statutory requirements across all supply chain activities
  • Develop and implement the site supply chain strategy aligned with operational and business objectives
  • Lead and manage procurement, logistics, expediting, inventory management, and contract administration functions
  • Oversee supplier sourcing, tender evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards in line with delegated authority
  • Manage supplier performance, contract compliance, and supply chain risk mitigation
  • Coordinate logistics and freight forwarding activities for local and international procurement
  • Drive inventory optimisation, critical spares planning, and supply continuity
  • Lead, coach, and develop supply chain personnel to achieve performance and succession objectives
  • Ensure effective use of ERP systems (Pronto preferred) and accurate reporting of key supply chain KPIs
