HEAD COACH – ZESCO UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

POSITION
Head Coach

Job purpose

ZESCO United Football Club is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Head Coach to lead and manage the football team by providing high-quality coaching, tactical leadership, and player development. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving competitive success while upholding the Club’s values and ensuring compliance with FAZ, ZPL, and CAF regulations.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:
* Full Grade 12 Certificate.
* Valid CAF Coaching License (CAF A or CAF Pro License preferred).
* Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field (an added advantage).
* Strong knowledge of football tactics and performance analysis.
* Basic IT skills and proficiency in coaching and performance analysis tools.

EXPERIENCE
* 5–10 years coaching experience.
* At least 3–5 years coaching at professional football level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the planning and delivery of all team training sessions.
* Develop match strategies, tactics, and game plans.
* Select team squads and starting line-ups based on player performance and fitness.
* Analyse team and opponent performances using modern performance analysis tools.
* Oversee player development, discipline, and mentoring.
* Work closely with medical and fitness staff on player health, rehabilitation, and recovery.
* Identify and recommend players for recruitment.
* Ensure compliance with FAZ, ZPL, and CAF rules and regulations.
* Promote professionalism, discipline, and a strong team culture.
* Prepare and submit team performance reports to Club Management.
* Represent the Club during media engagements and official events.

CONTRACT DURATION
Two (2) Year Contract
