About the role
LIAS university College has over 20 years of experience in training health professionals at Diploma level and has up to date, qualified over 5,000 registered Nurses and Clinical Officers. Considering the factors of growth and changing stakeholder environment being experienced across the country, a number of opportunities and challenges have emerged with this phenomenon. Hence the College has embarked on a new strategy to maintain its progress. In view of this, the College is therefore seeking the services of a selfless goal-oriented, qualified and skilled individual to take up the following positions;
Qualification
- Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate and able to read, write and speak English.
- He must be male with more than 4 years’ experience working as a security Guard.
- No criminal record
- Physically fit to work as a security guard at night and day times with vivid alertness and responsiveness.
- Able to make drills on the parade and has leadership qualities.
- Aged above 40 years with no criminal record
Essential Job Functions
- Patrolling: Conducting regular, irregular, and systematic patrols of Company premises to detect intruders or safety hazards (e.g., unlocked doors, fire risks).
- Access Control: Locking and unlocking building as well as managing visitor entry.
- Emergency Response: Responding to investigating disturbances, and contacting, immediate supervisor, police or fire departments if necessary.
- Reporting: Maintaining detailed, written logs of activities, security checks, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Observation: High level of alertness and ability to detect suspicious behavior.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long periods and patrol in the dark.
- Reliability: Capability to work alone or with a small team and remain vigilant while others are asleep.
- Combat fitness: Strong physical fitness for managing confrontations.
