About the role

URGENT VACANCY: MERCHANDISING LEAD

Inerun is seeking a proactive and organised Merchandising Lead to manage merchandising activities for our clients across leading retail outlets. The successful candidate will ensure strong product visibility, proper stock presentation and consistent execution of client brand standards.

Reports to: Sales Director

Monthly Salary: K6,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead merchandising activities across assigned retail outlets.
  • Supervise and coordinate field merchandising execution.
  • Ensure products are correctly displayed, visible and adequately stocked.
  • Maintain planograms, shelf layouts, promotional displays and brand standards.
  • Conduct regular outlet visits and inspect merchandising performance.
  • Monitor stock availability and promptly report low-stock or out-of-stock products.
  • Track competitor products, pricing, promotions and in-store activities.
  • Build professional relationships with store managers and retail staff.
  • Ensure promotional materials are correctly positioned and maintained.
  • Collect merchandising information and prepare accurate activity reports.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and Word to maintain records, analyse information and prepare reports.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the Sales Director.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Valid motorbike driving licence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Good reporting and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and travel between assigned retail outlets.
  • Previous experience in merchandising, retail, sales or a related field will be an added advantage.
