About the role

Description

Our Client, a company in the Crop Science and Seed Processing industry, is seeking a qualified Finance and Administration Assistant for a period of one year. Reporting to the Finance and Administration Officer, the Finance and Administration Assistant will be responsible for accurately accounting and reporting on all transactions relating to the company under his/her control as well as assuring administration support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of documentation for approval
  • Recording, posting invoices, receipts, journals in accounting system.
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Trial Balance reconciliation
  • Receipting customer payments
  • Supporting Annual Audit
  • Preparing finance schedules-Expense claims, Assets to be insured etc.
  • Inventory-Count
  • Preparing payment vouchers and uploading on sign now
  • Customer and Suppliers Reconciliation.
  • Petty Cash Management
  • Fixed Asset Management
  • Filling finance documentation
  • Assisting with procurement and communicating with vendors on statements, proofs of payments purchase orders and invoices
  • To ensure a conducive office working environment by ensuring that there are adequate supplies for the smooth running of the office.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
  • At least 2 years of knowledge and experience in accounting practice and procedures within a similar industry
  • A highly proficient level of written/spoken English.
  • Performance and results driven attitude.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Computer literacy in accounting software and
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work outputs.
