Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Digital & ICT Volunteer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about technology, digital communications, and international development. The Digital & ICT Volunteer will play a crucial role in supporting our IT infrastructure, enhancing our digital presence, and assisting with technology-related projects that strengthen our organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

ICT Support

• Provide technical support to staff members on hardware and software issues.
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems promptly.
• Assist in managing and monitoring the network infrastructure.
• Install, upgrade, and configure software applications.
• Support the development and implementation of IT security protocols.
• Assist in data backup and recovery procedures.

Digital & Communications Support

• Assist in maintaining and updating the organization’s website and digital platforms.
• Support the creation and scheduling of content for social media channels to enhance organizational visibility.
• Contribute to digital campaigns and online outreach efforts.
• Help develop digital communication materials, including newsletters, reports, and presentations.
• Support the digitization of organizational processes and document management systems.

General

• Collaborate with the team on various ICT and digital projects.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and digital trends.
• Perform other ICT and digital-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and digital tools.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content creation tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to EM Associate’s mission and values.
