About the role
Job Overview
The Preventive Maintenance Supervisor (Boiler & RO) is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for boiler systems and reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment plants. The role ensures maximum equipment reliability, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and the availability of utilities to support production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Planning & Execution: Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, shutdown, and overhaul activities for boilers and RO plants; monitor equipment performance to prevent failures.
- Operations & Troubleshooting: Supervise the daily operation of boiler and RO systems; diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process faults.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety standards; implement LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce 5S protocols in utility areas.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and performance logs; report on uptime, costs, and energy efficiency while supporting regulatory audits.
- Team Leadership: Supervise Boiler Technicians, RO Operators, and Maintenance Staff; allocate work, provide technical guidance, and drive skill development.
- Continuous Improvement: Reduce breakdowns and maintenance costs through Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), reliability initiatives, and efficiency upgrades.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3 to 10 years of experience in boiler and water treatment plant maintenance within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of boiler/steam and RO systems, troubleshooting, reading technical drawings, safety & compliance, leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset.
