Job Title: Commercial Accountant
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
- Monitor service centre operations and ensure compliance with commercial financial policies, processes, and procedures.
- Review sales and banking records for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Conduct monthly inventory, cash, and debtor reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Monitor cash sales control accounts and perform daily reconciliations.
- Prepare expenditure analysis reports for service centres.
- Audit sales records and identify unauthorized sales transactions or breaches of approved credit limits.
- Perform monthly debtor account reconciliations and ensure customer sign-off.
- Work closely with Area Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers to monitor debtor performance, collections, and payment status.
- Support the CFO in preparing revenue, cost of sales, and operating expenditure budgets.
- Raise and process credit and debit notes, ensuring appropriate approvals and accurate account updates.
- Prepare audit files and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly performance reports within agreed timelines.
