Reporting to the Senior Resource Superintendent, the Resource Superintendent will be responsible for delivering reliable and sustainable Mineral Resource and Rolling models through technical support, coaching and collaboration. The role strengthens capability across the team, encourages knowledge sharing, and works closely with other technical disciplines to continuously improve modelling practices and operational outcomes.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the estimation and management of Mineral Resources across the Lumwana site, ensuring models are aligned with international reporting standards and effectively support mine planning and decision-making.
  • Provide technical leadership and problem-solving support to the Resource Geology team, driving the delivery of geologically sound resource and rolling grade control (GC) models.
  • Oversee mine-to-mill reconciliation, maintaining model accuracy within a ±5% margin (MCF), and update models as needed to reflect operational performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with NI 43-101 reporting requirements and SOX controls in all Mineral Resource-related processes.
  • Support seamless integration between Exploration, Resource Geology, and Mine Planning teams by ensuring consistency in geological interpretation, domaining, and block model handovers.
  • Monitor and manage Data Quality Management processes at Lumwana to ensure data integrity for use in Mineral Resource and GC model updates.
  • Manage the generation, update, and optimization of grade control block models, aligning them with operational strategies and planning assumptions.
  • Deliver on-the-job training and structured coaching to junior geologists within the Lumwana resource team, supporting their development and alignment with group standards.
  • Contribute to open pit mine planning through the delivery of reliable and fit-for-purpose block models that enable orebody value conversion.
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities within the life-of-mine plan, supporting continuous improvement and long-term value delivery.
  • Collaborate with Exploration, Mining, Survey, Mine Planning, and Processing teams to close integration gaps and enhance cross-functional efficiency.
  • Lead the reporting cycle for Mineral Resources, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly outputs with full mine-to-mill and resource-to-mill reconciliation.
  • Oversee the evaluation of additional deposits or satellite opportunities at Lumwana, including drilling strategy, block model development, economic analysis, and mine plan integration.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology. A master’s degree in Geology will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum Five (5) years’ relevant experience in geology, mining and resource estimation.
  • A demonstrated capability and attitude to lead, share and discuss resource estimation workflows with a team as well as demonstrated seniority and comfort in resource estimation.
