Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and versatile Technicians specializing in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and Civil disciplines with a strong focus on Remote Sensing Integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, integration, testing, maintenance, and deployment of various remote sensing systems onto diverse platforms, including UAVs, ground vehicles, and fixed installations. This role requires a hands-on approach, keen attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in both laboratory and field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision assembly, wiring, and soldering of electrical and electronic components for remote sensing payloads.
- Integrate various remote sensing sensors (e.g., LiDAR, RGB cameras, thermal cameras, hyperspectral sensors, radar) with data acquisition units, GPS/GNSS systems, and Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs).
- Conduct mechanical fabrication, mounting, and structural integration of sensors and associated hardware onto platforms, ensuring optimal alignment and stability.
- Execute rigorous testing and calibration procedures for integrated remote sensing systems to ensure accuracy, functionality, and performance specifications are met.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical malfunctions in remote sensing equipment and platforms.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, test reports, and maintenance logs.
- Assist in the field deployment, setup, and operation of remote sensing systems, potentially involving site preparation and civil engineering considerations for ground-based installations.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to optimize system designs, improve integration processes, and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures in all aspects of work.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on equipment to ensure longevity and reliability.
- Support firmware updates and software configuration for integrated sensor systems.
